Mustique
Villa Mustique is a renovation project for an 80s villa located on the heights of Marigot in St Barthélemy.
The project consisted in completely renovating the villa, while preserving the Creole look of the property. The living room was reworked to open onto the terrace using curved bay windows, a marble checkerboard floor was laid to reinforce the colonial architectural style, and the kitchen was completely redone to open onto the living room.
An ajoupa, the Caribbean name for a gazebo, was created beside the pool to accommodate an outdoor dining area. The house was also completely repainted in pink and white to add a pop touch and reinforce the Creole identity.
The interior decor was largely found by the owner during his many travels, and complements the villa's Caribbean style with a touch of vacation and travel.
